The Speech, Language and Hearing Centre at Christopher Place formally stopped operating as a therapeutic and educational provision on 24th July 2015.
Moving forward it is our intention that the existing charitable company, The Speech, Language and Hearing Centre Limited, will continue in operation, as an independent grant-making trust, supporting research and charitable organisations working in the field of hearing impairment and children’s speech and language development.
Over the past twenty years, through the Centre the Charity has supported over 1600 children, working together with their families to help children with speech, language and communication difficulties to develop their auditory, social, emotional, intellectual and physical skills. We are now looking at new ways to continue this work and are currently restructuring the charity in order to achieve this.
We thank you for your continued support so please keep watching for further updates.
